call for an algebraist/mathematicians in sajhalnd

let F be a field. Show that the ideal generated by a finite number of polynomials f1, f2,...........fn in F [x] is the intersection of all ideals containing f1, f2,............fn.


any help on solving this problem would be highly appreciated.

jyots, it would be ideal if i could solve the problem. unfortunately i never took abstract algebra. just intro real analysis, which went in one ear and came out the other. good luck tho.
