How about traveling to Nepal from USA thorough China Eastern Airlines 590 / 748 / 757?My 2 years old son is travelling with me. Want to hear from someone who recently fly with them.

It is cheap + ok. Problem is they dont transfer your baggage. You have to claim it in transit and transfer it yourself and that also only before 2 hours of your next flight.

I went in August, its cheap but comes with hassle as you have to check out and check in your luggage in two cities, Shanghai and Kunming. If you are travelling with toddler, I don't recommend. However, if the other airlines are pretty expensive and you can save, 3-4 hundreds on this, you can try. There will be Bangali guys waiting in Kunmin once you get out from Airport, they will take you to their hotel, provide dinner and room, then drop you to the airport in the next morning just in $20, not bad..huh..
This is ok for youngster with no kid but its up to you.
